Google's solar project

Above is the link to Google's solar project. It is pretty cool and its good to see businesses taking a leadership role in clean energy. They also did some research on their solar panels that may be helpful to others that may be considering solar panels.

For example, they found that rain does a pretty good job in cleaning the panels, especially the ones that are on a tilt. It doesnt do as good a job on flat panels. After rains, or a cleaning, energy out put from the clean panels increases significantly. The size of the dirt particles apparently makes a difference and there were some findings about the seasonality of the energy collections but you can read all about it at the website.
